Morgan Penn PT, DPT

Optimal Results Physical Therapy

Morgan Penn went to Southridge High School in Beaverton and received her BS in Exercise and Health Science at Willamette University in Salem, OR. This year, 2024, she completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy at Franklin Pierce University, in Manchester, NH.

Morgan knew she was meant to be a physical therapist after she sustained a serious back injury playing collegiate softball when she was nineteen and a first-year student at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. She spent ten months with severe pain. Physical therapy was of limited benefit as were steroid injections. Eventually, she underwent a lumbar discectomy which was only moderately successful and continued in pain for the next 5 years until she did one of her final clinical experiences at Optimal Results Physical Therapy (ORPT).

Morgan felt at home with the values, mission, and treatment paradigm at ORPT. As a bonus, the ORPT clinical staff helped guide her through a successful back rehabilitation after suffering for 5 years. She is now pain free and is excited to work with her current and future patients to show them the Optimal Results way of physical therapy as primary care providers of the musculoskeletal system.

Being a patient herself, Morgan passion and goal is to help others get back to what they love doing because she knows first-hand how frustrating it is to live with pain.

On days she is not helping patients she is a pitching coach for Sprague High School, likes to paint (landscapes, wildlife, etc.), lift weights, and participates in outdoor activities (camping, hiking). As she grows in her profession, she is interested in becoming a low back specialist, collaborating with athletes, and expanding her clinical knowledge with other diagnoses.
