Ajit Chary, MD

Ajit Chary MD is a board-certified Internal Medicine specialist with certification and eligibility in Pulmonary and Critical Care medicine.  I strongly believe in the balance of mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing to promote healing and the innumerable benefits of musculoskeletal rehabilitation and physical therapy for the overall totality of health, mobility, and wellbeing.

Born in the Midwest, he completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a master’s degree in molecular biology at the University of California, Irvine. He studied medicine in the West Indies at Windsor University School of Medicine. Subsequently, he completed residency in Chicago IL at West Suburban Medical Center with a specialty in Internal Medicine and a fellowship at Louisiana State University – Shreveport, Louisiana in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.

Dr. Chary has a keen interest in martial arts and music – especially with vocal performance and the violin. He spends as much quality time with his wife and two children who are his source of love and strength.  He enjoys continually learning about various subjects and thrives in a patient care-based atmosphere.


Matt Abbott, PA-C

Matt is a Board-Certified Physician Assistant (PA) who specializes in Emergency Medicine and musculoskeletal injuries. He graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in June 2014 through the Department of Defense Interservice PA Program with a BS and a Master’s of PA studies. Before his PA training, Matt served as a Special Forces Medical Sergeant with the 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) at Fort Campbell, KY with 8 years on a Special Forces A-Team. After his PA training, he returned to his home unit with 5th Group, specializing in Emergency and Aerospace Medicine. Matt retired from the US Army after 26 years of active-duty service.

Matt had numerous combat deployments as his unit’s medical provider where he gained extensive experience in Orthopedics and Sports Medicine to rehabilitate injured, elite soldiers and keep his unit fit and combat ready. He is well-versed in all aspects of musculoskeletal injury patterns, care and possesses a wide array of treatment skills. As a Disabled Veteran, he understands firsthand the importance of rehabilitation to prevent complications and to protect against further injuries down the road.

Presently, Matt is also on the faculty and staff with OHSU School of Medicine and the OHSU Department of Emergency Medicine. Other medical topics of interest include acid/base disorders and electrolyte imbalances.

When not seeing patients, Matt enjoys DIY home improvement projects and can be found perusing museums, going to fairs and festivals, roaming the hills and exploring the beauty of the Pacific Northwest with his family and beloved McNab dog, Riley.

Keith Glasser, MSPT, Cert. MDT - CEO, PT

Keith Glasser, owner and CEO of Optimal Results Physical Therapy, has been practicing physical therapy since 1993 and his dedication to excellence and seeking out the latest developments in physical recovery is evident throughout the clinic. Keith’s philosophy is grounded in two key principles: Patients are always our top priority, and Physical Therapy is fun and effective at Optimal Results.

Originally from the east coast, Keith earned his Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Massachusetts and a BA in Business Administration from Babson College. In addition to his formal education, Keith earned an advanced degree from the McKenzie Institute International.

Prior to establishing Optimal Results Physical Therapy in 2003, Keith worked in a private practice, was an in-patient and out-patient physical therapist both at Kaiser Permanente and Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. He has also provided physical therapy at several skilled nursing facilities.

To keep active at Babson College Keith played basketball, as well playing a season in the Israeli Professional Basketball league. Now he enjoys playing soccer, gardening and completing household projects. For his days off he likes hiking, traveling and reading.


Dan Ryan, DPT - PT,

After earning his undergrad in Exercise and Sports Science from his home state at the University of Georgia in 2014 and earning a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Emory University last year, Dan moved out to Portland with his fiancé and their two dogs. A year later and he’s loving the weather, the people and the great outdoors. He spends most of his free time running, hiking, and attempting to cross country ski! But before taking on his role at Optimal Results, Dan worked with health and fitness professionals from many backgrounds in outpatient Pediatric Therapy at a Children’s Therapy Center, the Special Olympics, and as an Assistant Coach for a high school track team. Dan is goal driven, patient focused, easy going and ready to help you in your personalized recovery.


Darren works is a customer and patient service representative for Optimal Results where he makes sure that everyone who comes to Optimal Results has a great experience. Darren oversees the day-to-day schedule at Optimal Results and helps with sales and marketing projects. “I love to work with the people around me and I am so looking forward to serving the patients at Optimal Results.”

Darren works remotely from the Philippes and has 4 years of experience working in this capacity in the healthcare industry. I am honored to be a part of ORPT and am looking forward to doing great things here.

He studies part time as undergraduate in Management Accounting at Liceo de Cagayan University, in Cagayan de Oro City Philippines. His favorite hobbies and things that give him great joy are playing and watching basketball and a special game indigenous to the Philippines called Sepak Takraw, which is a combination of volleyball and soccer. He also loves dogs and spends quality time with his 5 canines. Daren also enjoys playing online games to decompress from some daily stresses.

Darren works remotely from the Philippes and has 4 years of experience working in this capacity in the healthcare industry. I am honored to be a part of ORPT and am looking forward to doing great things here.

Jenny Hansford - Head Administrator

Jenny is our newest hire and perhaps our most experienced customer service expert! She has worked in the Dental field for over 25 years and is looking forward to learning about the physical therapy field here at ORPT.

Her husband and she have 6 children, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren that are the loves of their lives! They also have a small Maltese that weighs in at 5 lb’s that they absolutely adore. Jenny enjoys sewing, reading, and spending time with her family. She loves to work with people and is looking forward to meeting and greeting the patients here and help them make their lives easier. Having both knees replaced and lumbar surgery, she understands how physical therapy can help you take you life back and become an independent person again!
